With a total budget of Rs. 200 crore, the central ministry has approved for spiritual tourism circuit and eco-tourism projects in Kerala. As per the Kerala tourism minister, A p Anil Kumar, a 100 crore rupees has been sanctioned for the Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple and Gavi Eco-tourism projects. Under the spiritual tourism circuit project, 84 crore will be used for Padmanabha Swamy temple, 5.6 crore for Sree Parthasarathy temple (Aranmula) and 6 crore for Sabarimala.
As per report, the spiritual tourism circuit project was announced by Mahesh Sharma, the Union Minister of State fir Tourism and Culture. The minister then asked to submit the detail project. The eco-tourism project will be connecting the high ranges of Gavi at Pathanamthitta with Vagamon and Thekkady.
