Veli Tourist Village



It is at this spot that the Veli Lake meets the Arabian Sea. At this place, pedal boats and speed boats are available for exploring the charms of the lagoon. The tourist center of Veli has backwaters, bridge views and entry to the stunning Veli Beach.

Veli Tourist VillageA large garden on the Southern banks of the Veli Lagoon is a great place to sit back and relax. This garden is connected to the Veli Beach through a floating bridge. The picnic area also has a wide array of attractions like play area for children, boat rides on Veli Lake, games, horse rides, swimming pool and shopping stalls. Another attraction at Veli is the Floating Cafe by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), which offers the visitor’s mouth watering traditional Kerala delicacies.

The Veli Tourist Village’s landscape is spread with stone and grass sculptures created by Kanayi Kunhiraman, the first sculptor recipient of the Raja Ravi Varma Award. The long, stoned walkway connects the garden to the Aakulam lake and is just perfect for a leisure walk. A collection of pet birds like pigeons and swans, and small ponds filled with a variety of fishes and tortoises are what the visitors get to see at the Veli Tourist Place.
