Fragrant Nature is a small Ecotourism Resort consisting of five spacious villas and a restaurant nestled amongst coconut palms on over three acres of waterside land on Mala Lake near Paravur, Kollam District. The peaceful lakeside setting provides a remote haven from the bustle of everyday life and excellent immediate access for boat trips and bicycle rides to enjoy the scenery and observe the varied local flora and fauna. Fragrant Nature Resort is, however, only 6km from the main highway and well located as a base for days out to discover the essential elements of Kerala - beaches, backwaters, wildlife and culture.

A particular feature of the Resort is the extensive waterside areas given over to "wildlife gardening" - to not only conserve but increase the diversity of native species found on and around the Resort land.

The scenic and unspoilt beach at Kappil is only a rickshaw's journey away. The popular beach resort of Varkala is also within easy reach offering the opportunity for bathing, shopping and eating out.
The boarding jetty for cruises on the Kollam (Quilon) to Alappuzah (Alleppey) backwater route is half an hour away by road.

The Egret's Nest Restaurant serves a wide range of authentic Keralean food and offers a selection of Continental dishes on the À La Carte menu. Complimentary South Indian or Continental breakfast is provided to all our resident guests and this may be served in the villa at no extra cost.

    Our villas have been designed with couples and privacy in mind. Each villa is detached and includes an enclosed lily pond and private garden. The villas are sited on a terrace with an elevated balcony facing the lake. A full Room Service is available and our staff will be happy to lay a table in your accommodation, complete with candles and flowers, on request.

    The villas feature traditional Keralean styling, modern comfortable interiors and energy efficient design.
