Within next January, the public will be able to enjoy the first Public Private Partnership (PPP) model Jatayu National Park at Chadayamangalam, Kollam. Jatayu National Park is a tourism initiative under the Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) model. As per reports, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Mjid Al Marri, Director of Dubai Tourism Corporation has already conducted an aerial tour of this site.
Jatayu National Park is situated on the top of the Jatayu Para. This Jatayu Para is a cluster of large rocks, which has named after Jatayu - the bird from the epic Ramayana. As per reports, the first phase of the park will have an adventure zone, which is spread over an area of three kilometre radius. The visitors can enjoy 20 games, which include paint ball, laser tag, archery, rifle shooting, rock climbing etc.
The technical and logical supporter of the project is Dubai tourism. The huge Jatayu sculpture of the park is built by Rajiv Anchal, the ace filmmaker and sculptor. He is also the chairman of Jatayupara Tourism Private Ltd. As per information, the other two phases of the project will be completed by 2016 last. When completed the park will be consisting of worlds largest bird sculpture that is of Jatayu (70 ft high, 200 ft long and 150 ft broad).
