A DAY OF BACKWATER CRUISE

Ms. Kritika Juhi Hurgobin and her family of 8 members arrived at Kerala on 4 th November 2017 to enjoy their one day Houseboat cruise.

She had called up to Kerala.com Travel Division at Kochi, Kerala, India, to enquire about the cruise details. Mr. Lijo Philip, Senior Manager (Travel) coordinated with her and arranged for a day long Backwater Cruise at the Alappuzha/Alleppey Backwaters.

Ms. Kritika and her family arrived at the Coimbatore International Airport from Mauritius. From there they came to Kochi in their own vehicle. At Kochi they were welcomed by Mr. Lijo. From here they continued on to Alleppey in a Traveller. On the way they saw many mesmerizing sights.

They reached at Alappuzha at around 1’o clock. They immediately checked into the Casablanca Premium Houseboat and started their backwater cruise of the Punnamada Lake. They soon enjoyed a grand lunch arranged in the houseboat. There was a large spread of dishes, mainly the special Pomfret Fish Fry.

During the cruise, the family came across the rustic rural life of Alappuzha. They saw the village folk doing their daily work, the greenery consisting of coconut trees and also some animals and birds taking leisure by the lakeside. They were thoroughly enjoying the cruise.

By then it was time for them to enjoy the evening tea and snacks. They were served with piping hot tea and banana fry as snacks. After their evening tea and snacks it was time for their check out from the houseboat.

Being a rainy season, by the checkout time it started to drizzle a bit. They boarded the Traveller for their return trip. After a day of leisure cruise Ms. Kritika and her family returned back to Kochi for their return back to Mauritius. The guests returned back home with a heart full of memories that they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
