An Unforgettable Trip to my Homeland of Kerala, India

Our Trip to Kerala, organized by Kerala.com Travel Division of Worldviewer Dot Com India Pvt Ltd, Cochin, Kerala, was my best time and trip in Kerala, India so far.

I'm of Indian Origin, I was born in Kerala, but I am living in Germany. In the past years my family and I travelled to India for holidays to visit our relatives but after a while I started to feel bored because we were only staying home and drinking tea or coffee most of the time. So, this time my Daddy organized this special trip with Kerala.com Travel Division, Cochin, Kerala. Our Travel Organizer Ms. Jismy John at Kerala.com was very kind and friendly. She was also
very helpful as we had various changes of plan throughout our trip - so I'd like to say a big thank you to Jismy.

On our first day we stayed in Cochin, in a wonderful hotel called Bolgatty Palace, which used to be a former palace in India. Contrary to the usual saying, it is possible to book such a hotel without spending a fortune as the price is also affordable for middle class people.

The next day we visited Alleppey – Alappuzha and stayed at a very clean hotel with a friendly staff and delicious South Indian food. We also made a houseboat trip. It was very nice and really something different.

After that we went to Vagamon. I wanted to visit this place because I'm a passionate belly dancer and I wanted to take some pictures and make a dance video for my website. Although it was very hot at that time in Kerala (38 degrees Celsius) the climate in Vagamon was cooler. It was such a beautiful place with a lot of valleys, wonderful green scenery, waterfalls and a lot of beautiful flowers. I am so grateful for having some pictures and a video of this beautiful place. The scenery and the place are just perfect.

After that we travelled to Thekkady. There we stayed at the hotel Cardamom County - my favourite hotel. There is an Ayurvedic Massage Centre, a gym and a very nice and clean swimming pool.  There are also monkeys living next to your door and there is a national park close to the hotel which is also a great park to visit.  We also visited an Elephant Park nearby where we went for an elephant ride and I also enjoyed an elephant shower. This was an unforgettable experience and I really fell in love with these big and cute majestic animals. And at evening I went for a Kathakali dance show. I know this dance style from my younger cousin, who is a great Kathakali dancer.

On our last day we took some rest in a hotel in Munnar which is also a great place with beautiful scenery full of wonderful green color variations (tea plantations, landscapes, hills). We went on a tour by car to see this wonderful place. Our taxi driver, Mr. Sanju who was recommended by Kerala.com, was also a very experienced, kind and competent man.

My dad and I loved the trip and we are looking forward to booking our next trip with Kerala Travels. This time we only stayed for 10 days, next time we definitely want to stay longer.
