HONEYMOON AT THAILAND

“Every Love Story is beautiful but ours is my Favourite.”

Mr. Shibin Koshy from Pathanamthitta had contacted us (Kerala.com Travel Division at Kochi, Kerala) to enquire about the details of a Thailand honeymoon trip. This trip was for his brother Mr. Shijin P Mathew and his wife Mrs. Renu Elsa Varghese. Our Travel Assistant Manager Ms. Sheela Jacob helped to plan this trip of 3 nights and 4 days to the mesmerising place of Pattaya and Bangkok in Thailand.

To begin a new chapter of their love story the newly wedded couple took a flight from Cochin International Airport to the Don Mueang International Airport at Thailand on 25th August 2017, morning 6:55 am. They reached Thailand by 8:00 am and were picked up by the driver from the airport.

They firstly visited the Sriracha Tiger Zoo at Pattaya. Before entering the zoo, the couple had their breakfast from the restaurant there. After breakfast they went to see the animals inside the zoo. They also got the chance to see various shows by these animals. They watched the jaw - cracking Crocodile show, the roaring Tiger show, the jumbo Elephant show and the race of the Pigs. Their experience of watching the tigers feeding the pigs, feeding the tiger cubs and many such activities really amazed the couple.

After the whole show got over, they left the zoo and proceeded on to the Grand Bella Hotel at Pattaya, where their stay was assigned. They reached there by 2:00 pm and checked in. After an afternoon nap and getting freshened up they went to the reception area from where they were picked up by the driver. He took them to the Alcazar Show in Pattaya city. They reached the venue for the 5:00 pm show.

Alcazar Co. Ltd, commonly known as the Alcazar Cabaret is a world famous show that is shown in Thailand. The elements of acting, stage design, costumes, performances and technology is skilfully blended together to bring out a great show. The couple enjoyed the amazing show and then after the show, they returned back to their hotel with a great experience. They reached the Grand Bella Hotel for a good night’s sleep.

On 26th morning, after breakfast they go ready to go to the Coral Island. After breakfast, by 9:30 am they were taken to Thailand’s famous Coral Island tour in a speed boat. This island is a beautiful getaway location, just three kilometres southeast of Phuket. The place is locally known as Koh Hae. The two beaches, Long Beach and Banana Beach is an ideal place for activities like snorkelling. This activity is a great way to explore the depths of the sea and view the mesmerising corals. The couple enjoyed the beautiful sights of the island and the corals. By noon they enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at the Coral Island and then continued their tour. By night they returned back to their hotel at Pattaya for the night’s sleep.

With the next morning’s sunrise (27th August) they checked out from the Grand Bella Hotel at Pattaya after breakfast. They proceeded on to Bangkok. En – route they made a stop at the Safari World and Marine Park. The Safari World is a drive in Zoological Park, which is divided into two parts. The first part is the Safari world, the open zoo with wild animals and the second is the Marine Park, the home to many aquatic species and also the stage for many shows of dolphins, birds, seals and apes.

They started the tour of the 5 kilometre long stretch of Safari World that lasted about 45 minutes. They saw many wildlife that included lions, tigers, apes and many more rare and endangered species. By 10 am they witnessed the humorous Orang-utan Boxing Show and by 11 am they were in for the Sea Lion Show. After all these shows they were in for the park’s famous International Buffet Lunch, where a large spread of lip smacking dishes were put out.

After the delicious lunch they were into the high spirited Dolphin Show by 13:40 pm. Here they saw the flipping and flopping, diving and jumping of the gorgeous Dolphins. By 15:30 they saw the stunning Bird Show. The colourful little birds put forward the best of their acrobatic skills and talents. Along with this there was also a lovely performance of the love birds that brought in the romance in their honeymoon.

The show came to an end by 16:00 pm and it was time for the couple to bid their goodbyes to the animal friends they made. With this mesmerising experience they, by 17:00 pm, checked into the Mercure Makkasan Hotel at Bangkok. Tired and exhausted they went in for a peaceful sleep.

28th August was their last day at Thailand. In the morning after breakfast they went in for a little shopping spree, to take back some goodies and souvenirs for their families and friends back home. They returned back by noon and enjoyed their lunch. By 1:30 in the noon they checked out from the hotel and proceeded on to the airport. On the way, they made a stop at the Golden Buddha and Marble Temple at Bangkok for a tour. The Golden Buddha Temple is famous for the statue of Lord Buddha that is covered in 5,500 kilograms of Pure Gold. The Marble Temple, on the other hand is famous for its marbles and it fusion of Thai and European style of architecture. After getting the blessings of Lord Buddha, the couple proceeded with their Airport trip.
