The sea-fringed state of Kerala is also the land of spices. Since long past, Kerala has carved a niche of its own in the global spice market for its rich flavored spices. Spices constitute an important group of the state’s agricultural commodities that bring in a lot of revenue. Spices in Kerala form an important commercial crop in terms of both domestic consumption and export. And thanks to spice tourism, the spice industry is doing very well in Kerala.
